I have been hosting a meditation session every Tuesday evening since late April. A lovely community feeling is developing there, and we are all benefitting from weekly support for this practice. Tuesday was our last evening sit before September 1. I am taking a step over a small threshold into a month with a different shape. I will be writing and resting and preparing for Autumn, and I recommend for all who can do so, take a different pace that restores and nurtures you — to draw all the goodness that you can from your summer (or winter if you are in the southern hemisphere!).

I hold the deepest gratitude for the presence and open-hearted wisdom-sharing over the past months that has developed with this group, through the strange and intense times that we find ourselves in.

In the third week of August, I will host a week of morning meditation practice: August 17–21, 8:30–9 a.m. We could call this a "retreat," in the tradition of buddhists from monsoon climates. Or more simply, we can engage in a commitment that grounds a daily practice with the support of community. An opportunity to reset before we resume.

I look forward to September 1, when we will begin anew the practice of weekly gathering for Tuesday Sangha, 7:30 p.m.

Contact me if you would like to take part in the August retreat, or Tuesday evening Sangha.
