I am delighted to share an invitation to view a beautiful group show at Propeller Art Gallery: Experimental Intervention curated by Lisa Reich, which runs from October 23 to November 10, 2024.

My multi-media assemblage, Memory Folds / Birth Place, is one of over 40 intriguing responses to the curator’s call for work that employs material and techniques in ways that are outside the artist’s usual scope. This invitation pushed me to incorporate many threads of creative expression from my practice within one piece. It was a tremendously satisfying process and I am thrilled to see the piece included in the show. Find my artist’s statement here with more about the inspiration and materials.

If you are in Toronto, there is an opening this afternoon (Saturday, October 23) with an opportunity to meet many of the artists. Sadly I will not be there, but do come see the show if you can! For those of you who are further away, there is a gorgeous online exhibit here where you can see all of the artworks included in the show. I was struck by how harmonious the show is, given the openness of the curator’s call, and the diversity of artists involved.

All works are for sale, and the online exhibit continues through December 23, 2024.
